The papers (1806-1815) of Calvin Delano, Jr., consist of correspondence to family members with topics relating to the War of 1812 and its effects upon the U.S. mercantile trade and shipping, ship's papers, and estate records. Jabez Delano's papers (1785-1815) contain promissory notes, bills, and receipts relating to his business, including bills (1815) to the town of Fairhaven, Mass., for cleaning the local militia's muskets and an agreement (1852) for his son Jabez Delano, Jr., relating to the sale of a house and land in Fairhaven.
